NOW Leadership Inc. has been invited to partner in the visioning and activation, of the redevelopment of the 112 Coventry Rd, Smithfield Plains site.



This initiative highlights the benefits of collaborative partnerships between Council, Business, University and Local Community.

We are very excited to share NOW’s Smart Energy and tech ideas that include – e.g. Virtual Reality, and the manufacture of NOW Domes with Solar features which are linked to S.T.E.A.M grants for the purpose of employment growth in the area.

Our Vision

Our vision is to reinvigorate existing community shopping centers or community buildings or empty factories etc., which were built in the 60s and transforming them into attractive, thriving, creative, social enterprises that are of interest and benefit to the community. Using these existing structures is an authentic demonstration of the next wave of the ‘sharing and collaborative economy’ model – which is ‘utilizing what already exists’, rather than going to the current ‘startup’ model.

Creating A New Story

We aim to co-build a new and vibrant culture with the people of this region void of the old “unemployed” stigma. We will also call on the valuable past culture/story of the region to build a new story and future story. Because it’s through our stories that we create our value, which then builds a collective culture around belonging and contributing.

An Invitation To Participate

A genuine invitation to participate is key in this venture and all who choose to collaborate on this project will be committing to creating possibility and opportunity for growth on many levels – Moreover, everyone on the BIG Belonging Team will grow.

No matter whether we are learning, facilitating or managing, we will all be growing toward our own potential and mastery, which in turn will add great value to the collective outcome of the project.

Importance Of Belonging

People don’t really know their potential until they are given the opportunity to be creative. Then they can demonstrate their ability to respond to their own needs, which leads to a true belonging within their community.
